Hello From Karen!

Just been chatting to Karen - she's only gone and fallen down at the swimming pool, breaking her ankle in three places. But she's on her way home from the hospital now, and she says she'll be back on the forum again soon!

OUCH !! Rest up in bed then let us know WHAT happened. MY quess is that, in a slightly drunken and drowsy state, you "see" the Tiger Lillies while relaxing in a lounge chair. Jumping up, you yell "Martyn ! , Adrian !" Taking a few steps , you tumble down in a heap . Tripped up by a beach ball all the while yelling, "It was them , I swear it was them!!!"

Message from Karen: Her surgery went okay, and she's now got a nice room with a TV! She said it still hurts like crazy but she'll be going home tomorrow.

I've passed all your best wishes on to her!

Sorry to hear that, Karen. Get well soon! Hope that your doctors behave better than the Czech ones ( I had to go to a hospital, too, and I´m very angry, they´re such assholes, and nurses even worse:-( )

Anyone know how she's doing?

I just found this thread today - first time I've really been able to go online since THE ACCIDENT. Had to borrow my neighbour's computer cos mine went and died. So my posts may be few & far between. Wellie, thanks for letting people know. Everyone else...THANK YOU for the good wishes, which I really appreciate! Herriotka - the docs & nurses were all wonderful, I was in a really good hospital. Now I'm having physical therapy which sucks! kkittie - you are so right, since I've been home & away from the Italians, my blood pressure's been normal - first time in a while! Too bad I have to go back, but can't live on disability. Plus, after what will be 6 - 7 weeks house-bound, I'll be ready for some action again. I wish I could say I broke my ankle while in a Tiger Lillies daydream, but it was just a slip & fall at the gym. Love you all xxxxxxx

PT is so boring!-I've had to go through PT a few times, myself, so I can empathize with how it sucks, unless it sucks for your because it's painful. I'm glad to hear you're doing better, Karen, and making a successful recovery.

Tell them you want ONLY Tiger Lillies music while doing the physical therapy. The reaction of the people in the room should be worth the pain plus you might gain some converts ......... maybe ? Give it some time, you will get better. Thanks for letting us know how your healing !
