Glad you're coming (ha-ha-ha) Timmy!
P.S. I doubt we'll be allowed to bring beer inside the theatre with us. I'll be checking up on that and will post the answer here. But we can have an after-party if there's a pub that can fit us in

I'll put you down as Masturbating Timmy as long as I can go 'Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah OH!' after it... |
Make it so...

After-party sounds like fun!! I shall of course be having my own "before-party", probably in a park somewhere with some tinnies and a few smokes, I'll just have to remember to put on my sober face when I arrive at the theatre. And tell them I'm masturbating timmy. Hmmm...

On the subject of after- and before- parties, I'm considering Birthday drinks the night before, possibly with grub. More on this later, when I've bothered to think about it in some level of detail that's more than" Yeah, good idea!"

Ooh, that's great, you can have a Tiger Lillies birthday celebration! Are you coming down to London the day before? I think I will too. Otherwise I'd be bringing my suitcase to the V&A, + wherever we go after, and would probably end up losing it or something. I'm traveling from Harrogate, via York (most likely anyway, alternatively it'll be from Leeds). it's getting so close now, I'm starting to panic. As in "What if I totally bolloxed everything up?"

I'm coming down on the Saturday. Don't worry if things Bollox up, though, I'm sure it won't but in that unlikely event, we'll just have to find a bar, resort to gin, and sing Lillies songs until they kick us out. Of the country.

Good plan Oddbod!
It's official from the Victoria & Albert Museam. No food or drink allowed in the theatre. There's a cafe downstairs and a garden if the weather's nice.
*has strange visions of Tiger Lillies fans sitting around drinking tea & eating little cakes*

There is a very elegant courtyard with an outdoor cafe. They occasionally hold events as it is a large space. I can't remember if they sold beer. Why can't I remember?

I don't think there's any reason to worry Karen, I'm sure everything will go perfectly

Such a shame you won't be there, Oldphan. Karen is going to stay with me for a couple of nights so she won't be on the streets!

Just had an email saying this:
"Hi,
I discovered your plans for the screening at the V&A on April 18th thanks to the publicity you had in yesterday's Metro (Tuesday March 9). We were very excited to learn the original Tiger Lillies are back, and have now booked to see you performing the songs."
Anyone know anything about this being in 'Metro'? I'm slightly confused!
(I have replied letting her know that the band won't actually be performing there...)

I think they want to see Welly performing Tiger Lillies songs ...... time to crank up the hidden talent !!! Or are you an original Tiger Lilly? Kicked out because you did something so terrible that it's only spoken of in hushed tones.

Now what I meant to say was 'we could help by singing along'.

Wells I just saw the Metro thing. Maybe it's the concerts that are lsited, and your secret friend went to the website & found the V&A thing?

I've been to the Metro UK website & can't find a thing under Tiger Lillies, Shock Headed Peter or Victoria & Albert. Oh well too bad.

All cleared up - I had another email from the lady who says that she saw the gigs advertised in there, and then went to the website and found the V&A info, so you were right, m'dear!
